My company has taken to giving us the week off, which is nice. Unfortunately, we had to deal with some tax snafu on my husband’s business, so, I still need a vacation.
Anyone get to do fun stuff? I need to live vicariously through you… (so please tell me!) ❤️

News: It’s birthday season at the house. The husband’s is next week, and the babies (2yo and 6yo) have August birthdays. The daughter is into Fruits Basket the anime, and Pokemon cards (or “Pokemox” if you’re 2). The son has more varied tastes: Paw Patrol Mighty Pups, Paw Patrol Jet Rescue, Paw Patrol Racing something (is there a theme?), Spiderman, CocoMelon. Firetrucks “are cool”, he says. I don’t know who told them they could get so big. It certainly wasn’t me.
Prime Day is next week, and seems to have recovered to its former, pre-pandemic glory. A few years ago, I got my hard-as-hell to shop for husband a starter 3D printer for a little over $100 – during the Prime Day sales. It turned into a habit, and spawned more printers? Now, 3D printing is a huge production in our house, and he reminds me that I “started him on it”. I think I’ll buy everyone socks from now on…
In more writer-ish news, I received a Golden Book award from Literary Titan – for Vengefully Yours! That was unexpected, but it’s definitely a nice way to start off July! 🎉

I’m also working on a short article related to writers craft for an editorial review blog called Review Tales, titled: “Intrinsicness”. Based on my self-publishing experience thus far, I call into question the late & great Bryce Courtenay’s advice – that the most critical component to being a successful writer is “bum glue”.
